Perthshire Activities - Things to do around The Lodge At Perth Racecourse

Perth City
Perth is located at the crossroads of Scotland So, not only is there lots going on in the local area, we are also ideally located on route to so many great places.

Perthshire Activities include Perth Concert Hall is one of the most modern and vibrant music and arts venues in Scotland and the historic Perth Theatre is due to re-open later this year.

Perth is home to numerous sports clubs and a large number of events are held at Bells’ Sports Centre and the Dewar’s Ice Rink.
St Johnstone Football Club, the pride of Perthshire, is also based in Perth.

The centre of Perth is also a hive of activity with a great selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Getting in and out of Perth is really easy. We can recommend a highly efficient taxi service that will take you straight to your chosen destination and bring you home again.

Scone Palace
Right on the hotel’s doorstep

The stunning Scone Palace Park is home to Perth Racecourse, The Scottish Game Fair and Rewind Festival. Bordered by Scone Palace and the River Tay, The Lodge is set in beautiful Perthshire countryside, and yet we are only 2½ miles from Perth City Centre.

Out and About

Turning to the surrounding countryside, there are endless opportunities for enjoying outdoor activities in this area. Whether you are into walkingcycling, canoeing
or something else, this is one of the best areas in the whole of the UK for following your passion.

Countryside Business
Business or Pleasure

Perth and its surrounding villages are the location of many successful businesses and public agencies. Business travel is therefore a major activity in the area and The Lodge is well-equipped and in a great position for anyone looking to spend a night or two in the Perth area as part of their work.

Even if you are heading further afield, let’s say to go walking in the north east, then why not break your journey and save the drive up to Deeside or Donside for the next morning? The Glenshee Munros are only a 40-mile drive from The Lodge.

We’re so ideally situated for getting into Perth and out into the countryside, that some visitors like to Mix Town and Country. Could you be tempted to mix Skiing and Shopping, Munro bagging and Music, or Fishing and Fine dining? Have a think about that one and mention it to your partner or friends
